Owners / Directors
Jennifer Creek a Savannah native, a director and co-owner of Kelly/Creek Studios, has studied ballet, hip hop, tap, and
jazz for 23 years with local teachers such as Madeline Walker, Victoria Dunn, Marilyn Youmans, Shannon Kelly-Greenberg and
Dagoberto Nieves. She also studied extensively at the Atlanta Ballet for seven years. Her summers are spent studying all areas
of dance with master teachers such as Liz Imperio, Joe Tremaine, Doug Caldwell, Jesselee Santos (choreographer for Britney
Spears and Pink), David Howard, the staff of Steps on Broadway and The Broadway Dance Center. Jennifer is the recipient of
many regional and national dance competition awards. She has held the title of Judge's Choice, Platinum and Highest Score
Overall many times. She has competed and choreographed for Dance Troupe International, Tremaine, West Coast Dance Explosion,
New York City Dance Alliance, and Access Broadway, to name a few. Jennifer also choreographs and teaches beauty and voice
contestants who compete and perform locally and nationally in contests such as Young Miss Savannah. Her starring roles include
Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Arabian, Spanish, Dew Drop Fairy, Don Quixote and Claire de Lune. She has also been recognized
for her superior ability in the area of hip hop and has been offered contracts with studios from Savannah to Los Angeles.
Shannon Kelly-Greenberg born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, grew up dancing under the direction of William Reilly, an
original Jerome Robins dancer, as well as his wife Shirley and sister Sheila. Shannon dedicates her love of teaching and choreography
to Mr. Reilly where she learned discipline, technique, dedication and love for the art of ballet. Upon moving to Savannah,
she studied and danced with the Savannah Ballet Company then directed by Karena Brock-Carlyle as well as Madeline Walker and
Terrell Paulk of Ballet South. Following which she danced professionally with The Atlanta Ballet Company while studying and
receiving certification in early childhood education with the Montessori Institute of Atlanta. Her repertoire includes directing
and choreographing classics such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and Don Quixote, as well as performing in
the same including Serenade, Carmina Burana, Etudes, Paquita, Giselle, Symphony in C, Midsummer Nights Dream, West Side Story,
and Four Seasons. Shannon returned to Savannah to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design and accept a position at The
Savannah Montessori School of Performing Arts as Director of Dance and Primary Classroom Director, and later, Administrator.
She has also held the office of President of the Savannah Symphony Women's Guild. She has also been regionally and nationally
recognized for her choreography and teaching abilities. Shannon is currently a director and co-owner of Kelly/Creek Studios,
Inc.
Courtney M. Byers comes to Kelly Creek from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Mrs. Byers graduated Magna Cum Laude,
from Louisiana State University with a B.A. in English and a Minor in Dance. She is Dance Masters Certified and has traveled
and taught in Seoul, South Korea, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and now Savannah, Ga. She is well versed in Ballet, Tap, Lyrical,
Jazz and Pilates. Courtney is currently teaching Ballet, Lyrical and Tap at the Kelly Creek Savannah Studio and participating
"The local Dancing With The Stars" as a professional dancer.
